Start with the exact model number
The marketing name is useful, but the model number is usually better when you are trying to make sure you are looking at the exact version you want.
Manufacturers can sell several versions of the same basic model with different finishes, sizes, sights or included accessories.
The UPC is one of the best double-checks
A UPC is a product identifier. When two sellers show the same UPC, that is a good sign you are comparing the same factory item.
If you send me a UPC, I can usually use that to check distributor availability without guessing which version you meant.
Read the specifications, not just the photo
Product photos are often stock images. Sometimes the picture is there to represent the product family, not every little detail of that exact listing.
Check the written description for the exact model, size, finish, capacity, sights and what comes in the box.
Pay attention to what is included
One listing might include extra magazines, a case or another accessory while a similar listing does not. That can make two prices look farther apart than they really are.
Do not compare price until you know you are comparing the same package.
Watch for state or seller restrictions
Some listings have notices about where the seller will or will not ship, or whether a particular version has restrictions in certain places.
Those notices are worth reading before checkout. The seller and receiving FFL still have to follow the laws that apply to the transaction.
Check the seller's shipping and return rules
Before ordering, look at shipping cost, cancellation rules, return policies and what happens if the wrong item is sent.
That part is between you and the seller, so it is better to know their rules before the package is already on the way.
Send me the link before you order
If you are unsure, send me the listing, model number or UPC. I can help you make sure we are talking about the same item and that you have the correct Coldbore transfer information.
A quick check ahead of time is easier than untangling a mix-up after shipment.
Send me what you are looking at.
If you have a model, UPC, or link and you are not sure what it means or whether it fits what you want, send it over. I would rather help you sort it out before you spend money.
